I rented an 8x5 trailer for a cross-country haul from San Diego to Kentucky. The transmission of my car went out in Arizona. Subsequently, I found on the U-Haul.com site a warning that transmissions can be ruined by overheating and a recommendation that this can be avoided by using an automatic transmission cooler. Neither this information nor recommendation was ever provided to us at the rental site.
