Large Tool Order Left on Porch Torn Open, Tool Missing

I made a large order of tools to be shipped to my home address. The company warned me I would have to be home to sign for the delivery. I waited all morning, then noticed about noon that a package was on my front porch, with no attempt to notify me it had been dropped and no attempt to get my signature.
The box was about 90% torn open. Upon checking the shipment, I noticed that one of the tools was missing. It would appear that FedEx has no facility for accepting complaints from the people they deliver to. I notified the company that I had purchased from, and they promised to ship me a replacement tool immediately. I hope they don't use FedEx.
