Cars & Transport

I bought a used mini van from the dealer. Test drove it off the lot, no engine lights, smooth shifts, good brakes. I thought it was a good deal, so i bought the van. The next day the transmission gave out and i lost reverse in the van. I called them to let them know what was going on with the van, they paid to put it in the shop. Ten days go by and finally the shop calls and says that they are done with it, that I can have it back. The very next day, this is only two weeks that I've owned the van, the same problems occur. I called the transmission shop that the dealer paid to have it taken to, to find out from a worker there that the dealer had bought the transmission from a junk yard, with no apparent warranty. So because I signed a paper stating that I bought it "as is" then the company can take the 2,179.75 that I spent on what they said was a decent, reliable transportation, and all I have with it are problems.

This kind of business should have clauses about lemon cars, weather the dealer knows it or not. I even tried to negotiate with them to get a different car off the lot, but they wouldn't let me! I think that if they had fixed the van the right way they could have re-sold it for more than it cost to fix it.
