Low Book Sales
Sold Me a Lemon Car

Cars & Transport

On March 11, I bought a used car from Low Book Sales. Less than 2 days later, I was driving down the road and my transmission fell off. The car was towed to the dealer and it was replaced. The day after I got it back, I went outside and all of the transmission fluid was all over the driveway, so back to the shop it went. They supposedly fixed it again, but it is still leaking, just slower.

My brakes are also squealing loudly, but the service department assures me there is nothing wrong with my brakes.

Now on May 12, I was driving down the road and the car just dies. It will not start again. I have it towed to the dealer again. I am told it needs a new motor now, to the tune of $1200! 61 days after I bought it!

You can't tell me that this car went thru a 150 point inspection and these problems were not noticed!

I urge all of you who are also ripped off here to contact and file reports with the Better Business Bureau, Get Gephardt, Attorney General, and anyone else you can think of—I am still researching my options.
