I bought a new truck in Feb and was excited because this was my first new auto purchase. So imagine my shock when less than 2 weeks after i purchased the truck, my check engine light comes on. I couldnt get it into service for 3 days because they were booked.in the meantime the next morning i was backing out of my driveway and i lost "reverse" on the transmission.
Ok so i call up the dealer and they brought the truck in. I got the truck back that same day, stating they could not "recreate" the issue and no engine light ever came on. When i was leaving the dealership the light came on again.
I took the truck back and they "fixed it". Over the next 60 days the truck continually popped out of gear and had various problems with brakes, transmission and the Check engine light would come on.
I was told nothing was found and it was the style of the truck to "perform" as it was? WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?
So i go out of town for a month and during that time, my brakes went out and i got a "recall" notice in the mail stating that the emissions modulator was defective. So i took it to a dealer in IL and they "fixed" the problem.
I was estatic, the problem went away, right!!! WRONG
Less than a month after i came home, transmission kept jumping out of gear and making awful noise when shifting from any gear into park.
I just took it into the dealer 8/20 and got it back less than a day later stating that there was nothing found?
Im almost in tears for the treatment that i have been getting and i dont know what else to do since im not getting satisfaction. All im asking is for my truck to be fixed or replaced at this point. Is there a lemon law that im protected under???
