Recently, I got a letter in the mail from some law firm [Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, and Sampson] claiming that i owed them appx $80 for delinquent parking citations. As I was 100% sure that I had not gotten any citations in the last few months, I threw out the notice.in my mail this morning, I got another notice. Curious that I might be getting scammed, I opened the letter to find that they claim I now owe $220 [this ludicrous increase is in the spread of about 10 days...]. Apparently, there was, indeed, a parking citation that I allegedly received, and since I had not paid it [because I never actually SAW it], I now have to pay additional fees related to my tag being "Invalidated". Basically, some uneducated trog parking attendant that needs to make quota saw my car somewhere, wrote a ticket to the tag, balled it up and threw it out, and left me with the additional "Tax" to pay one way or another.
