Sent me a license suspension warning for a ticket i payed over a year ago

I received this letter on 10/29 saying that if i did not pay this fine from 11/07 then my licese well be suspended i went to have my license renewed on my birth day 6/4 and they would not have renewed them if i had outstanding tickets. I just did a license check on the dmv Web site and my licensee is still valid. But this law firm out of Miami Is saying they have been hired by palm beach county to to collect this debt from me. This is bull. I have had my license suspended before they don't attemptto collect debts if you don't pay your license is suspended the end. No way it would take over a year and i can't believe they would hire a law firm to collect money from me when palm beach has just suspended my license without getting in contact with me. And why would i pay a law firm instead of the palm beach clerk anyway? Scam scam scam written all over this lette
