GMC has faulty speedometers

GMC has faulty speedometers. They know they have a huge problem with many of their GMC speedometers and wont recall them. GMC settled a lawsuit saying they would fix their faulty speedometers if they stopped working within 7 years/70,000 miles (they sent me a letter saying they will fix them if they break, but won't fix them if they are working)- my car is currently within the 7 years, but at 96,000 miles and the speedometer broke after the required window. GMC says they dont have to fix my faulty speedometer, because they settled a lawsuit. Their lawsuit had nothing to do with me, and my cars speedometer failed after the settlement 7 years/70,000 miles. This is so crazy, GMC knows they have faulty speedometers, but wont fix them or recall them and they say the class action lawsuit settlement kept them from having to fix them after the settlement span. When I call them about this they just tell me there is noting they can/will do - always telling me they wont help/repair it - while they speak to me as if what Im telling them/asking means nothing. They say everything with a smile on their face which always makes it worse. They dont care about the customer at all and wont fix something they know is faulty - can you help? I'd really appreciate it.
