Was just trying to give the little guy some business!

In mid-May of I contracted with Mike Williams to replace the water pump on my 1995 Ford Taurus and repair the drivers side window of my wife's 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport. He gave me a preliminary estimate of $350-$375 covering both repairs. Upon repairing the Taurus, he told me that he should have charged more, as a bolt broke off in the repair process (this is why mechanics charge "flat rate", to cover such unexpected events!). Then, after purchasing the incorrect part for my wife's car, he said the total would be greater than expected, and we agreed on $425.00. I gave him $200 for the Taurus repair, which I felt excessive but he felt justified due to his incompetence of breaking the bolt, and also sent him off with a $100 deposit on the balance.

Guess what. He never showed up again! Ever. It's been TWO MONTHS! At first, he would answer calls and offer excuse after excuse, but now he screens calls from both my wife and I. He refuses to give our $100 deposit back, and refuses to come repair my wife's car as contracted. At one point he did answer my wife's call and told her he'd give $50 back due to all HIS trouble. Again he disappeared, refusing to return calls or emails. What an unscrupulous businessman! I hate to even use the WORD businessman.

I forgot to mention... No receipt of any kind from this guy. I doubt he even has a business license, yet he's listed as "LLC". And plus, he is supposedly involved in a program that demands rigorous honesty! What a laugh! We realize we will most likely never get my wife's hard-earned money back, and I've opted to fix the car myself. I just want to warn others of trusting this supposedly honest "businessman."
