Truly a rip-off

My wife and I purchased a Montero Sport in 2002 from this place. Not knowing or having any clarity of the contract that we were signing. We thought we had agreed to $1000.00 down payment, with monthly payment of $487.00 a month. Mind you, that the sticker price on this truck was $27,000.00. Little to my wifes and I knowledge, we found out that we had an additional $10,000.00 to pay for this vehicle. We were really shammed. We didn't find about the balloon payment until we asked for a pay-off balance. So we signed a new contract for the $10,000 and as we attempted to make payment on this vehicle it got hard.

So on a Sunday going to church with $698.00 behind, I received a call saying that someone was at my house to pick up this vehicle that my wife and I spent $33,000.00 on. Be reminded that the sticker price for this vehicle was $27,000.00. Here's another thing, not only was I not allowed to pay the $698.00 payment owed, but was also told that to retrieve my vehicle, I would have to pay the remaining balance of my contract which was $6900.00.

They have since sold this vehicle for $2500.00 and are now harassing us for the remaining $4400.00 balance. These have to be smart drug addicts if they think that we are going to pay anything else on a vehicle that is no longer in our possession.
