Drivetime
A.K.A. UGLY DUCKLING Over charging for vehicle which is not worth more than $5000.00 and sticking me with an annual percentage rate of 29.9%

In February of my wife bought a car from Drivtime out of Phoenix, AZ via Power of Attorney with my name. I was not around when my wife bought the car due to me being deployed to Iraqi. When she told me about the car she said that they told her that she would only be paying $10,000 for it and would be finish by 2005.

Well I have never seen the contract between my wife and Drivetime so recently I stopped my payments to them thinking that I was done with the vehicle and a week later I get a call from them saying that I still owe $7000.00 on the vehicle.

The vehicle has been having constant problems with the engine, alternator and started. I spent over $1200.00 dollars in order to fix this vehicle. Well anyway, I called them back when they finally sent me a copy of the contract and saw that they have overcharged my wife for this vehicle. Now they want me to either pay the remaining balance or return the vehicle.

To me the vehicle is mine and since they have gotten more than enough money out of me and my wife I think we are entitled to have those extra charges dropped. If anyone out there knows a good lawyer that can help with a claim against drivetime please let me know, through the rebuttal key
