Package not deliverd on time. Customer service rep hang up

I called the UPS customer service center Dec 23 to inquire why my package which was supposed to be delivered Dec 22 did not get delivered. While I was asking for additional information not available to me via online or automated tracking, the customer service rep said that the y cannot help me. The package is out for delivery and hung up the phone. As a customer, I want to know why my package was not delivered on the date it was supposed to be delivered. UPS does not pay me for lost wages if I do not go to work because I have to wait for my package to be delivered on a particular day and they don't show up.
