Rip-off fraudulent dishonest liar consumer fraud

On January 14, I was having trouble starting my car, so I took it to Vincent Foreign Car Service, a family-owned business where I had been having automotive repair work done for years.

Brian, the son of the business owner and heir-apparent to the business, checked under the hood and told me the alternator was bad. He told me to leave the car and they would fix it that day. He also quoted a price of $354 plus labor for the job.

I left the car there then called my brother who advised me to take the car elsewhere as the price quoted was too high.

I called Brian and told him I was coming to get the car, and he offered to do the job for $271 plus labor. I still insisted on taking the car elsewhere.

When I took the car to another mechanic, I was told that there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ALTERNATOR! It was simply a loose battery cable that was reconnected in seconds and cost nothing but a small diagnostic charge.

So Vincent Foreign Car Service attempted to rip me off for hundreds of dollars on the pretense that repair work was needed when it was not. Saying the alternator was bad was a bald-faced lie! I hate to see this happening to others, and I hope your service can somehow confront them and/or warn the public of their dishonest and fradulent business practices.
