Adam Ben Jacob An Agent From Survival Insurance
The agent told me I would only have to pay $399.80 & then I got billed for $47.00. He lied & did nothing about it

I got a phone call from an insurance agent, Adam Ben Jacob. I had recently been looking for insurance online. I had been looking I think 4 or 5 months before his call. I had insurance at the time of his call but it was about to expire. I talked to him several times on the phone & he also emailed me.

He told me all I would have to pay was $388.00. I can't remember the exact amount. I asked him several times, "Is that all I will have to pay for the whole year?" & he said yes. He got me insurance with another company, Explorer. Before we completed my contract he changed the price to $399.80. He said it was because I was insuring my truck instead of my Camaro which we had never discussed. He must of got the information online when I was first looking for insurance. Back then I was driving my Camaro.

So I talked to him about paying in 2 installments so I wouldn't have to pay all that extra money they charge you for making payments. So I payed him a down payment of $194.10 & I was to pay the remainder in a month, well I was to pay the rest in a month or less to keep it the same price. Then I got a bill from explorer saying that my total premium was $385.80 & it said premium paid to date was $97.10 & it said the unpaid balance was $288.70.

I called Explorer & they said I would have to talk to the agent at Survival Adam Ben Jacob. So I called him & he said a bunch of nothing. I told him all I was paying was what we agreed upon the $205.70 & he said it must have been a mistake. So I just paid the $205.70 & then I got another bill from Explorer for either the minimum amount $20.75 or the full term premium $ 47.00.

I called again to Explorer & told them that all I was supposed to pay was what I had already paid. I have a contract saying so. But they said I would have to pay it & that I would have to get my money back from the agent. So I called him & he said he wouldn't give me the money back & to just pay it. He said, "It's only $47.00." Well $47.00 was alot to me expecially when I'm broke. I ended up paying it so I wouldn't get my insurance cancelled. The agent told me he would knock off $47.00 on my renewal.

When the year came up I got a bill from Explorer for a little under $300.00 for the whole year if I paid in full. Then I kept getting these cards from Survival insurance, a renewal reminder, & to call Kathy Gilbert & they left a number. I thought $300.00 was way less then what i paid last year so I just ignored the cards & paid Explorer. Then I got a letter from Adam Ben Jacob saying that I signed a contract saying I would pay a broker fee of $180.00 a year. When we were doing the contracts I asked him what this was & what it meant & he said it's nothing just sign it. So I did. I haven't responded to his letter. I don't want to even talk to that liar.
