Texoma Hyundai
Sold me a problem vehicle-didnt follow through on promises-no return correspondence when offered solution to problem

Cars & Transport

I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup from Texoma Hyundai. The dashboard was all broken. The top and bottom pieces both needed replaced. I pointed this out to them three times that it was not just the top piece that needed replacing. They arranged for the dashboard to be replaced and added $500 to the sales price. Two days later the battery went dead. I called them and they said they couldnt repair anything because I bought the vehicle "as is".

Before I bought the truck, the salesman told me that he would take care of any problem that I would have with the truck. They told me to bring it in and their shop would look at it. They coulnt find anything wrong with it. So I charged the battery up and waited to get the dash fixed. I had to go to another dealership in Bonham to get this done. Also, I had them check the truck, because the battery kept going dead.

They replaced only the top portion of the dash, and told me that the only problem with the electrical was that the battery was too small. The original dealer denied that the agreement was for both pieces of dashboard. I finally got the dealership to put in the correct size battery in replacement of the dash part I didnt get. Two days later, the battery went dead again. I got to where I unconnected the battery every time I parked for a length of time.

After about six months, the truck would hardly run at all, the battery kept going dead, and the alternator gauge pegged out all the way to the right. At this time, I had the truck checked out a third time, and still nobody could find a problem. I parked the truck and waited three months, and charged the battery again, and drove directly to a chevy dealership and traded it in. I only put a grand total of around 1000 miles on this Dodge, and it left me stranded three times. Not very good for a vehicle that I was supposed to pay for over a period of three years.

I feel that the folks at Texoma Hyundai knew that the truck had a problem, because it had a brand new battery in it when I bought it, and the salesman told me himself that the truck had been there for some time.

The dealership keeps sending me Emails about their sales, and I finally Emailed them back and told them I would consider buying from them again if they refunded me my purchase price on this bad truck. They didnt acknowledge this Email, but keep sending me Emails about sales, like Im a loyal and satisfied customer. I wouldnt refer this dealer to my worst enemy.
