Crown Mitsubishi
Sold suv with bad battery

Miscellaneous

I bought an 04 chevy trailblazer from crown mitsubishi on 9/12/07. First off i put money down on a montero however before the paperwork could be finished they sold it to another couple because they had a down payment as well as a trade in. So because i was in a jam and needed a car asap, the salesman took me to look for another suv. We found one however none for a comproble price. The one we found was 4000 dollars more than the one i was initally interested in. I got the truck home and took the 2004 sticker off the windsheild to discover an inch and a half crack in the windsheild under the crack! So i returned with the truck and said I wanted the windsheild replaced. I took the truck back a day or two later when the windshield guy would be there. They filled the crack not replaced the windshield. Thankfully I have not yet had a problem with it yet. However about 2 and a half weeks later i had a dead battery. The truck is equipped with rundown protection which means the headlights go on and off automatically and the internal lights will go off automaticly even if you leave the doors open. I returned to crown mitsubishi for them to tell me they would replace the battery at no charge only if i could wait 2 days until monday. Since I could not wait I had to pay $100.79 For a 'new' battery even though I still was under the 50/50 warranty period and also purchased the extended bumper to bumper warranty. Though unhappy I felt as though some things just dont go as planned and to get on with life. Until 3/10/09 when I was stuck in aparking lot with a dead battery. I thought well I guess batteries just dont last very long. After being towed to another service shop I was told indeed i needed a new battery. I questioned How long a battery is supposed to last since i just had a 'new' one a year and a half earlier. I was told at that point that there was no way I had a battery replaced then because the battery in my truck was the original battery that was installed in the truck when the truck was new and they showed me a sticker on the battery predating my purchase of the truck. So I paid another$124.07 for a new battery. All crown did when they charged me $100 was either charge the exsisting battery or replace it with a used battery. Either way that is clearly deceptive... Never again will I purchase a vehicle from any crown dealership. And I suggest you dont eithe
