Wrong doing while changing the oil in my ca

Ought my car in to get an oil change. My car was in perfect condition. I had it checked several months before. Everything worked.

After the oil change, I left the parking lot and the car didnt want to go into first gear. It is an automatic. I pulled over, and jiggled the brake, and it appeared to work. I noticed the track light was on, and thespodometer no longer worked. It seemed the elecrical part of my, or part of it, was broken.

I got the car home, called the service department, and they said there was nothing they could do about it, but bring it in so they could prove to me it wasnt there fault. They were rude, discourteious, so I hung up. An hour later, one of the men called back, offered half the money it would take to fix it. He said a claim would take too long. I made no promices.

It needs about 300.00 in repairs. They apparently broke a part that regulates the transmission, and all that goes with it.

I will file a formal complaint, but I have no funds to hire an attorney. I take care of my 85 year old mother, and work a full time job besides.

What a Merry Christmas they didnt give me.
