Oil Drain Plug Rounded Off and Claim Denied

My wife took her car to Wal Mart to get the oil changed in may. When I got home in july from being out out for work it needed another oil change. When I attempted to get the drain plug off I could not, it was rounded off.

I took the car to Wal Mart and they said it was not there fault. They said that I had broken the oil tamper seal. Since I always change the oil myself on my cars I did not know what the blue crap on drain plug was and I was scraping it off. They also told me the drain plug has to be torqued on, which I know is not true.

I contact there insurance company CMI which denied my claim since I had scraped the blue tamper seal off.

Do not take your car to Wal Mart for any automotive work.
