When I first called Allstate from the yellow pages, the man I spoke with sounded very friendly. He said he was from Milwaukee. He offered me free towing if I had work done to my vehicle.
He qouted me a low price for a diagnostic. I believed him and had my car towed to his shop. He even said he was near my home. I lived in Cedar Hill but his shop was North of Desoto.
Long story short, he did fix my car but the cost was ridiculous!
I continued to call and ask for a "Quote" before they began the work. But the man from Milwaukee was never in the office after he got my car. I was told he was in the hospital.
They began the work on my car and I was furious at the cost.
The only thing that was wrong with my car (at the time) was the positive battery cable had an electrical shortage. It just needed to be regrounded with a new cable post ($47 part.)
Allstate charged $344 for labor just to put that on.
They had over 120 cars on their property. Which I assumed were cars of customers who could not afford to pay the repair costs.
