Mike Fraser's
They tried to steal my money and held my car as a hostage. He wanted my money so much, that even when i refused to have anywork done to my car, he said i owed him money. He did not even TOUCHED my car!

This is an unfortunate story and I hope no one will have to go through this.

I was on my way from Miami FL to Bloomington IN. I was going back to Indiana University. After 500 miles from Miami my car broke on I-75. I called Allstate and they contacted local towers for me. The company they found was Mike Fraser's. As i found out that towing company has its own shop. So they towed me there. Towing was paid by allstate.

Since I know cars very well, I knew what is wrong with my car. So instead of asking him whats wrong with my car, I told him that I need to have my fuel pump replaced (it was easy guess for me since i heard whining sounds from it right before). The price quotas he gave me was way to expensive for my knowledge and budget-$400 for pump and than labor costs. But the biggest problem was that i would have to wait one day for him to get that part. Giving the fact i was already late to school and missed a lot of classes, I couldnt lose another day. I walked to downtown area, ate a breakfast and than went to every car parts store in that city. It took me about 4 hours, but I found what i needed and for $250! I was very happy and called mechanic and told him that i got the part, and he can do it today. After that things started turning bad.

He informs me that the labor will be more now since i bought my own part. (i wonder why). By more he ment more than $150. At that time i completely lost interest in doing any business with him and called allstate to dispatch another truck to tow me from him. I found a place that would fix it the same day and much cheaper.

Things get uglier as we go. Towing truck shows up at Mike Fraser's, and i am ready to leave, but... The owner comes out and tells me "You owe me $55 for a shop fee!" Wait a second... What shop fee? - i said. He stated that he spent time on me and now I owed him money. I was shocked. Nobody has TOUCHED my car! I have the key, car is locked. Now some of you might have heard some dishonest mechanics charging "diagnostic fee", but "shop fee"???

I called police. Little did i know that his wonderful relationship with the sheriff. Every police office talked to him like a friend to a friend. They told me that if i wanted my car, i had to give him whatever he asked me! Thanks cordele police department!!! They send me to court but no one wanted to do anything. They informed me of my rights to file a lawsuit, but that means not getting my car, unless i pay him. The judge sent me to a church to beg for money!

People and businesses like that will tear up USA from the inside. You dont need terrorists for that!
