Start Mart is located in Washington, as well as Colorado, Oregon and Arizona. As far as I'm concerned you should stay way from all of them. They are all owened by the same people and use the same buseness tecniques.

I went to start mart to have my starter replaced, I was quoted $59.99 as long as there was no major obstructions and they told me it would take about one and a half hours.

Well it took them two hours to just get the car in the shop, and another two and a half hours to change the starter (which they rebuild them selves while you wait). So after waiting four and a half hours I go to pay for my car and the price has doubled. When I question them the manager says there is a labor fee because the top bolt on the starter can only be turned a quarter turn at a time.

I try to argue my point saying that that is not a major obstuction and that thats how all mustangs are, and even if it was I tried to explain that there's no way he should charge me two hours worth of labor considering how my car only took a half hour longer to work on then they first said. (because you have to subtract the two hours it sat in the parking lot) the manager simply said, "do you want your car back or not." The store was closed by now and I had no choice but pay the fee so I could get home.

I was not the only one. While I sat in the shop for four and a half hours I observed the manager lie to several people on many different subjects, and there was a message left on the message machine from a lady complaining about how she was over charged, she thretened to stop payment on the credit card. The manager just laughed and said to another who worked there how he was going to reposes her truck if she tried.
