Harrassing and threatening

Nine months ago I cosigned a loan for my daughter. If I would have known how this company is, I would have refused the loan.

I am 2 payments behind and continually receive phone calls. They have started to call my work after asking them not to many times. I work from midnight to 8 AM and have asked them to contact me in the afternoon. They disregard anything I have asked, even calling at 6 AM and leaving a nasty message.

They have threatened to call my employer and tell them I have defaulted on a loan (I saved the voice mail for proof), they have belittled myself and my daughter. Even though the vehicle is an 03, it is in need of major repairs. I had to put new tires all the way around right after I got the car. Now the clutch is going out and the dip stick broke off in the oil tank.

I have tried to explain I can not afford to get all of this fixed and make a payment. I told them I would voluntarily return the car. They said even if I did they would still let my employer know I had a repossession. I told them this is not legal and they said it is. They continued to state that they would sell the vehicle at auction and garnish my wages for the rest. I told them I would make partial payments until I can afford to get caught up and they refused.

Now I am in a bind and not sure how to handle this. It seems no matter which route I take they are bound and determined to contact my place of business.
