Ripoff - refuse to send pay-off information

We had been clients of this company for several years and was in the last year of the loan on the van we had purchased. We were looking around to trade it off and get something new. I called the company and asked for a pay-off on the loan. First I was treatedly rudely and told that I could not request a pay off, only the loan originator could. Then when I told them I was wanting to purchase another vehicle they told me - you do not pay us off early - you are in this loan until the final payment. I told them I knew better than that. That is when they got really nasty... They were going to default me and call the loan early. I asked how could they default me when I was not behind in payments and the man said watch us. So I sent them my regular payment via my usual bank transfer and they sent it back. I sent it a second and third time and they sent it back. Now I am in default by this time. So they started repossession on the vehicle. The people they sent to collect the vehicle showed up at my place of employment and asked where "the low life bitch" was they were there to pick up the f*in van. They verbally attacked me when I explained that I did not have the van, that I did not drive the van and I did not know precisely where my husband was at that time. These people threatened my co-workers and called them foul names. Nuvell called me made more threats and finally took us to court to get a judgment. The amount owed at the time this all took place was a little over $4000. Now they have a judgment of over $10,000 and still call me to be threatening and tell me how low I am.
