Charged for work not done & released a car with a dangerous problem Ripoff

On 4/22/07 my 17 years old son hit a curb causing the car to have a shimmy. He took the car to Pep Boys. They told him for $14.99 plus tax ($16.04) they would give him an estimate for the repair.instead they checked the tire presure and fluid levels which were all fine since I changed the oil last week and rotated the tires. He did not get a detailed estimate. Matter of fact they didn't ever rotate the tires.

Two days later my son told me what happened and I had an experianced mechanic look at the car. It had a broken Upper Tie Rod. This is the part that keeps the tire facing the correct way. (back to rear) Should the part break the rest of the way the tire would have turned left to right, possibly causing the car to overturn.

Pep boys released this car with this dangerour condition jeopardizing my sons safety and the safety of the other people on the roads of Toms River. Shame on the clueless IDIOTS who work there on Sundays.

I was appologized to and promised a refund but it seems the idiots there will not give me the refund and the Manager who promised this is never there.
