National Insurance Centers, Young American Insurance Company never reported my SR 22 to DMV 5 DAYS IN JAIL

I have been required to carry a SR 22 so I can continue driving. I went and obtained auto insurance and also informed them, that I did in fact need to carry a SR 22 until 02. They said OK, and I paid for everything on 02/13. They also gave me a copy of my SR 22 to keep in my Blazer. I asked if I needed to contact DMV or do they and they stated that they are required by law to fax a update every month. OK I asked again before I left if they would be faxing my SR 22 because I just switched to this company and I didn't want to be driving under suspension. Again she stated that yes, they would do it now.

OK so for the last six months I receive a bill and have been sending in my payment every month. Well Friday I got pulled over for a tail light out and of course they ask for your papers. All of a sudden I get told to step out of the vehicle that I am under arrest for driving under suspension. I was like for what? I was informed that I have not been carrying the required SR 22 so my driver's Lic was revoked on 03/21. Mandatory 5 days in jail. I was pist, mad as hell, yelling what the hell have I been paying for the last 6 months?

I showed the cops my paper that I got back in 02, so instead of taking me to jail he was nice enough to issue me a ticket to appear in court so I could get this worked out.

Well today I went down to DMV to find out what was going on, and they informed me that they have not received ANYTHING pertaining to a SR 22 for me in the last 6 months. So I had to go down to the insurance company and fight with them. I asked them what the hell have I been paying for, and how many people are driving with a SR 22 from your company and not even aware that they could be driving under suspension.

Another customer stood up and explained he JUST got bonded out of jail over the same issue! The lady told me NOT to give her an attitude, that it's NOT her issue, and then said look see I'm sending it right now. Well what good does that do me now? I have to miss work to go to court, go back to DMV to get a letter of clearance, and GOD help her if I would have went to jail. This company does not follow through or care about the paying customer!
