Suzuki Auto
Don't honor warrantee even when the dealer realizes it should be under warranty

Cars & Transport

I have a 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara that had less than 30,000 miles on it when the problem was identified. There is a small leak in the power steering rack and power steering fluid leaks out slowly. Not long after I started driving the SUV, after my husband's death, I noticed that there was a steering problem. I took it to an independent mechanic and then a dealer. Both felt it had been there for some time and that this should not be happening in a car used this little. The dealership and I have both tried to get Suzuki to stand by their warranty on this to no avail. This is a $1500 repair.

As an aside I keep getting advertising from Suzuki urging me to buy a new Grand Vitara. Only good manners and the fact that they don't give you an address have kept me from telling them what they could do with their new Grand Vitaras. Expensive ripoff.
