Ripoff Bad repair and will not make good on it

On or about June 2 my wife brought my car to Barrington Transmission ask to please look at the trans becuase I had told her that it was not right. He told her that he would look at it and it would cost nothing to look at. A few hours later he called me at work and told me in order for him to see what was the matter with the car he would have to charge me 79.00 to go inside the transmission, well that makes sense. I agreed. He called back two hour s later to tell me what I knew he was going to say that I needed major repairs. He said it would run me around 900.00. I told him to go ahead. About three hours later he calls and said the he missed the selanoid which is located on the otside of the transmission and that it would cost me an additional 300.00. I told him if he missed something so obvious I was not paying for it after he gave me an estimate. He reluctantly put it on and I got the car back after waithing through the weekend. The following weekend my wife and I went to New York to see a play and the car started acting up half way to NYC. I had to turn around and go home and missed the show. I took the car back to him and he told me the noise was coming from the fan belts, but that he would make some adjustments, and he kept reminding me of the part he put in for free. I took possession of the car once again drove it for about one week and this past weekend 6/18 I parked on an incline. When I went to pull out of the parking spot the car would not go into reverse, I had to push the gas peddle to the floor to get the car to mve slowly back. I just got off the phone with guy and he says that he refuses to fix it. That he did what he was supposed to do. That is why I am writing you. I plan to put out flyers in the neighborhood about his shop as well.
