Friday Nov 16
On Friday my son who is 18 years old. Took my car to AAMCO for an oil Leak. The service tech told him that they will look at the car (85 Trans AM) and let him know what the problem was.

Sat Nov 17
On Sat they called him and told him it was a front seal and that they Would have to drop the transmission to replace it. My son said go Ahead. Well they called him back on sat and stated that they removed the transmission oil pan and found metal in it. Then they told him that They could tear down the trans to make sure there were no problems inside for 289.00. He said to go ahead.

Mon Nov 19
On Mon they called my son and told him he needs to come down and see the Trans. About 10:00 am he went down and they showed him a transmission And said that it needed to be rebuilt. They then told him the cost was 1503.00 to rebuild the transmission. My son told them that he didn't have that kind of money. So they told him to fill out a credit app and see if he could pay that way. Well he did and then found out that the interest rate was 22%. At the same time the service rep told him to sign here. What he thought was an estimate. But they say it was authorization for repairs.By 11:00 am I was on the phone and told them that I was the owner on the car and that they were not to rebuild anything and to put the trans back together and back into the car and that I would pay the 289.00. I told them I found a shop to do the work for 625.00. The rep told me ok but it would take 1 to 2 days to have the car ready. I stated fine. Well at 2.30 I got a call and they told
Me that my car was ready. I told them that was fast and what was the bill. It was 1503.00 because they rebuilt my transmission. Well I went down there and was yelling at them and the only thing they would say was your son signed the paper and it didn't matter what I said.

Tue Nov 20
On Tue I was at work and called AAMCO and was now talking to Carl Cox the manager and told him I can not see how they rebuilt my transmission and put in the car in 3 hours. He tells me that they Had a rebuilt Transmission on the shelf and they just swapped parts and then installed it and the bill was 1503.00. AAMCO called my son at his work and told him that they want to work this out and for him and me to come down at 6:30pm and see what we could do.

Well we did and they stand by with he signed the paper. I told them that I am the owner of the car and I called and canceled the job. They stated They don't care he signed. I then told them that they put a rebuilt Transmission in that car that they did not rebuild the one I had. The Rep told me that they could put the original transmission back in the car If that's what I want. I said yes and don't rebuild it.

AAMCO calls my son and tells him to get with me and come up with a price.

Friday Nov 22
We go to AAMCO and I ask what is the bill. The rep tells me 1503.00. I say for what. He tells me they put the original transmission back in the car and rebuilt it. I stated that I told them not to do that. The Rep says he signed the paper.

Sat Nov 23
My son goes by AAMCO and the car is on the rack. He stops and asks why. They were swapping the transmission. I was told they already did that on Friday

Well we see whom we can trust. The bottom line is AAMCO is greedy and the knew When I called that they were not going to make the deal so they Stuck a transmission in the car to make us pay. Well its time for them to pay. Deceptive Trade Practice is against the law. The only thing wrong with this car was an oil leak. You will always find metal in your Pan that's why they put a magnet in there. This car ran fine.
