Ripoff Won't pay prevailing labor rate for collision repairs

Nationwide Insurance will not pay the competitive prevailing labor rate to repair shops for collision repairs. They consistently pay less than all other insurance companies in Western PA.

Have spoken to local claims appraisers and all state that it is their companies policy to pay repair shops the lower than prevailing rate.

Left messages for local claims supervisor Tim to discuss this matter and no calls were returned.

Spoke to regional claims manager Kevin and he said that Nationwide feels that the rate they pay is adequate to repair Nationwide claims.

I asked to whom I could speak to above him about this issue and he replied that the final decision is his and he had no plans to increase the labor rate in the near future.
