Pep Boys
Would not warranty tires they sold me that were not the right tires ripoff

I went to pep boys a couple of years ago to buy 2 trailer tires for a boat trailer. Took the rims with the old tires still on the rims in to the store. They sold me tires. Little did I know they were vehicle tires and were never supposed to be placed on a trailer rim.

Tires today are still brand new they were never used they still have the extra rubber tips on them. They were low on air so we filled them up to proper tire pressure (my father in law worked for a tire company for 13 years). We went in the house and heard a loud boom the one tire had blown the whole sidewall out. So we checked the other and that one had a bubble in it the size of a baseball.

When I took them in Mr Wade District MGR told me that they had been remounted that they did not do this. I told him they had been on the same rims since the day I bought them from pep boys. He basically called me a liar and said they would not do anything about it that it was my problem.

When I asked for his supervisor he would not give it to me. Then when I asked for the head office number he told the girl working to give me the 800 pepboys number and sarcastically said it will come right back to me. When I called customer service I found out that his boss was Mike Mcsorley and that the trail stops at Ray Wade. They would not give me Mcsorleys number or email address.

Pep Boys has the worst customer service of any company I have ever delt with and I should have learned my lesson when I bought some expensive headlight bulbs from them and they went bad. They would not take them back. They told me that I must have touched the bulb that's why the went bad.

I just found out Mcsorleys number from a thread on here and I will call him untill he calls me back. Stay away from pep boys you will definitley lose no matter what take your money elsewhere.
