Dounkin Donuts lack of sevice and poor customer comunnication - Bagal Twist

On Thursday Oct. 11th 2012 at about 3am (work night shift @ City Collage) I entered the said Dunkin Donuts as I have done for many years. I ordered a Chi tea and a cheddar Bagel twist. I then requested the twist be cut opened and place some butter on it prior to putting it to warm. The male employee quickly said we DO NOT cut Bagel Twist. I asked why and his reply was that was not his job. I then asked for a knife and I would cut it myself. He pulled out a rather large knife from between the cooking equipment as he waved it he stated " I cant give this to you". Asking why his reply was " you might stab me". Kind of shocked at the reply I asked for a plastic knife so I could cut it myself. He complied and I was able to cut the twist to me liking. I then requested again for him to put some butter on the twist. He then stated " We do not put butter on the Bagel twists." Surprised and completely frustrated I replied by saying if it is a money issue I will pay extra for the butter. I then commented by saying these policies (new to me) should be posted for patrons to see. The male and female in very loud voices said "we don't need a sign it is not our job". Now completely upset I just wanted to pay. Even as I attempted to keep professional (I am a uniformed officer) I again was addressed with sarcasm and an unprofessional manner. I requested all items be rung up on my tab. That was not done she instead rang up only the tea and Bagel despite there were three other coffees and another bagel. When I addressed the error she in a very rude tone which one do you want ring up separate or together. She stated my partner said separate (which she didn't) but either way I was in front of her with the money and she heard me say ring it all up. This experience was horrible and the thing that bothers me most I have gone there for years. I have tipped them well assisted when they needed/wanted the disorderly and homeless out of the store. I would request the they be retrainned on customer interaction. Even with that I feel I might never be a patron of this establishment again and will tell my story to all that will listen.
