Ameriline
Over the phone MasterCard approval ripoff

Business & Finance

I received a call from this company and was informed that I was approved for a $2000 Mastercard. I found it hard to believe since I know I have very poor credit. I asked if they needed to pull my credit for the card or if I was definately approved. I was told that I was already approved and all I needed to do was give them some information, including my banking information. That was a red flag for me since my caller id displayed 0114167897795. That did not look like any US phone number that I had seen and I told the lady that I did not trust the number since it looked like an out of country number and I would not be giving her any of my banking information. I was then wished a good day and the call ended.

Please be aware of companies that call and tell you that you are definately approved for credit and then turn around and ask for your bank information. For that matter, do not give out any banking information to anyone that calls you, and then use discretion when you are the one that originates the call. I did not get ripped off, and I don't know that this is a ripoff. The website for Ameriline only contains information for refunds and a number to contact them, everything else is conveniently being updated soon.

If you plan on doing business with this company, please be careful, it seem a little suspicious to me.
