Deposited $100 Bill Called Counterfeit After $4000 Withdrawal

I withdrew $4000 (all $100 notes) yesterday and deposited the exact same amount today. They told me one $100 note is counterfeit. What is going on? They claimed 3 or 4 people would check it for counterfeit before they accept the money. But they did not mention whether the money that I got was checked.
Next time, I really have no clue how to make a withdrawal from Citibank, which is the "#1" bank in America. Does that mean I have to hire 3 or 4 banking professionals to check it whenever I make a withdrawal? I highly doubt that is what Citibank is "#1" for!
