Business & Finance

A couple of weeks ago a lady called my house saying that i had recently applied for a credit card and had been approved for $2,500. Keep in mind this was at like 8:00am and she has just woke me up. She has an accent and is talking very fast so i really did not catch all she was saying. I did not exactly remember applying for a credit card but im not a morning person so i was like ok whatever (thats my fault).

She went on to tell me i had to give her my checking account info so they could take out $249.95 for the first year of interest. For all i knew at the time she could have been telling the truth. Im 20 years old and just thought "hey this will help my credit". My fiancee and i had just gotten a new vehicle which he totaled out 5 days after that when he fell asleep and hit an 18 wheeler and right now is not working because he is lucky to be alive and still recovering and i figured if we could use it for emergency purposes.

She went through this whole long process and i had to answer some questions on this automated system like the date, my account number, if i agreed, ect. After i finally got off the phone i started to think about it all and then realized that i didnt apply for a credit card in the first place. Now i have to call and try to get them to cancel it or they will take out the 249.95 on Oct. 16. If they wont i will have to close my checking account.

I also thought something was a little fishy when not even 2 hours after i talked to that woman a man called and said i had been aproved for a grant in the amount of "$2500" (same as the credit card) but i would have to pay $249.95 (same as the credit card) out of my checking account right then.

I told him i wasnt interested and he asked why not. I told him i couldnt afford it because of my fiancees accident.

I found this site when i was looking up something about another credit card from a company called CCA that i recieved in the mail. It also has turned out to be a fraud.

And some other ones also are the Ramada Plaza Resort and Fairfield Resort. I have also recieved great sounding vacation package deals from them and i thought i would look them up on this site and what does it say about them? FRAUD!

Be aware! We arent as safe as we think we are. Ive learned now to check everything.

I hope this helps someone. This site has really helped me. If i wouldnt have found it i probably would have been scammed by 3 other different companies.

God Bless,

PS - i dont know if thats their website, but they didnt give me their address and i had to put something. That is the number they gave me though.
