Rip-off!

I received a call on my cell phone from this company stating that I was approved for a unsecured Mastercard with a $2500.00 limit a free Gateway computer. The only thing I had to do was authorize a one time payment of $354.90 from my checking account on 10/1. I have called the Customer Service number a couple of different times and the recording answered and stated Cutomer Service. There was no mention of a company name.

When I finally reached a representative yesterday he could not answer my questions. I asked what bank the card was issued through he told me he didn't have that information. It was up to Mastercard and it would be a local bank in my state. I asked if they had a website and was told that it is currently under construction due to a new offer that is coming up.

I decided to research them today and found this website. I immediately called the Customer Service number to cancel and was told that they needed 4 business days to do so and there was nothing he could do. I have called my bank and issued a stop payment that is costing me $25.00. I guess I'd rather pay that then deal with the mess afterwards.
