Threatening that I will be arrested and charged with fraud Internet

I have been getting phone calls from American named men who have very strong accents. They called and leave messages saying that its urgent collection matter.
I do have some unsettled debts so I will call numbers that leave messages like this back but asked the man to send me paperwork to prove to court order or action placed against and/or the settlement agreement I can take.
He then tells me that I have 2 options to pay him four hundred something dollars to him to settle it or that I will have a court order placed against me for fraud and theft and will be arrested and that once I lose that I will have to pay anywhere over 2,000 dollars in court costs.

I have to say that at first because I am in a good bit of debt that I was worried but when I would try and ask for paperwork or any proof he wouldn't give me any or ask for an address to send me papework. Also, as soon as I brought up talking to my attorney about needing paperwork and or him talking to them he immediately told me to tell my attorney to call the sheriff and hung up.

How do I get this place to stop calling me? I also read a similar complaint where they were calling my work and I'm scared I will lose my job because I work in retail and they will not take to kindly to me getting phone calls there. Please help.
