I just received my new Capitol One statement. The interest rate went from 6% last month to 15.9 % this month. I called Capitol One (got India) what a surprise and was told that I was sent a letter in February about this change and at that point could have closed my account and opted out of change. I never received the letter, they cannot prove they every sent it but still will not let me opt out now. I have requested my account be closed. Oh and then the customer service rep tells me in order for Capitol One to survive they had to do this. How does my family survive. I have sent an email to the corporate office (if that does any good).
