They stole our money!

We were contacted by Fazio Eliz of Morgenthal Meyer & Sterns at the end of Oct. 2008. He said he was a investigative collection company representing a number of contractors who "company A" owed money to. "Company A" owed us $2,700. He said this case was very time sensitive and we needed to act quickly to get our money as well. We signed his contract stating that if they did collect the money, their portion would be 20%.

I was contacted in Dec. 2008 by Fazio Eliz stating that "company a" settled for a lesser amount and paid and the check would be remited on the 15th of Jan. He also told me before they would pay us, we had to release the lien. I told him I was uncomfortable with releasing the lien before I got the check. He said the amount was not significant enough and he would mail the check on Jan. 15th. I checked the mail and the check was not there. I called Fazio Eliz and asked him where the check was and he told me that I needed to release the lien. I had the lien released and faxed him all of the information the next day. He told me I would have to wait until Feb. 15th for the check to be mailed. I checked my mailbox and the check never came.

Every time I call to see where my money is, I am treated very rude by the staff. The receptionist makes up a new name every time I call. Steve Mancini say's if there is a problem to contact him. He is also very rude and a good liar. He even went as far as to fax me a copy of a check made to my company that he was mailing the next day just so I would stop calling him. His staff even laughed at me and called me crazy. These people should not be allowed to be in business.
