MMS Collections I need a collection company to collect from MMS

Like most on the list, I was contacted by MMS. They knew we had a lein on a debt, and they would collect for a pretty reasonable fee of 20%. They made a big fuss about not getting the cash sent directly to our company, as they said others had done that.
After about 6 months of not getting any info, and them not returning my calls, i wrote them a letter firing them. Sent registered mail. Called the day they got it to say they had already recieved the money, and for me not to fire them. Promised to send the payment on the 15th.
On the 30th, 15 days late, called and finally got hold of someone. They had a story of loosing an employee, and the check would go out in a week.
By this time, my customer mailed them another payment. I started to get concerned, since they didnt return any calls, nor pick up the phone. After looking on the web, decided to have the remaining payment sent to my office.
They owe me about 1/2 half of what they have collected. The other half is their fee, which i am fine in paying. This has been over 6 months ago, and no call, and they are not contactable.
If any of this sounds familar to you, i would consider not using them... Remember that once they have been paid, you will then have to collect it from them.
