Cheats You INTO Debt! Over-advanced and screwed

I graduated from college last year and moved out of state to take a job in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. I was confident in planning my taxes with H & R Block because we have had them prepare our taxes for the past 9 years since we married. We applied for the "Emerald Cash Advance" based on the premise that we would get enough of a return to cover what we were advanced... That's how it has always worked before! They would not do the taxes until they looked at our income based on a paystub... And advanced me $500 and my husband $1000 - total of $1500 on a joint return!

Yesterday, we went to have the taxes prepared... And our total return was $1197 - no RAL... We have to hope that we get the money in the mail in time... And NOW H & R Block says we owe the $1500 by the 15th of February! If we do not pay on time, we have to pay surcharges and fees and they wreck whats left of our credit.

DO NOT take the advance!!! Just wait on the tax return! We are screwed!
