Bank of America
Rip-off

Business & Finance

Bank of America is stealing money from its customers.
I am from Dallas. I have a joint acount with my dad in Bank of America but I don't use it because I switched to another bank as soon as possible because they were stealing money from me by depositing less than I actually deposited. One time I went to one of their branches located on Coit Road.

I deposited $590 in form of a check. When I got my statement, I noticed that actual deposit was $560. They told me it was a human error. It took almost 3 weeks to get my money back. However, my dad still complaints that very often when he deposits money, they deposit less than he actually deposited. Especially, they like to do it when part of your deposit is in form of cach because it is harder to prove that you deposited it.

Sometimes he notice it when they give him his deposit receipt, so they say "Ops", and correct it. Sometimes, they just make a mistake in a statement, hoping that noone would notice. Biggest rip off they did to my dad was a month ago, when they "missed" $1,900.00 They opened so called investigation and found money in about 10 days. This was deposited in form of a check and little bit of cash. Again, they said "we are sorry, " I, personally, never going to have any business with Bank of America. Also, I advise other people be careful when you receive your bank statements and make sure you don't have any "Opss" in there too.
