Bank Of America
BofA Loses Deposits Made in ATM Machines San Francisco, stocton, sacramento California

Business & Finance

Caution to all B of A customers. If you deposit a check in the ATM, it is just as likely to be lost as deposited. If THEY lose your deposit, they will ask you to find the person that wrote you the check and track down whether it was deposited. Unless you yell at the "customer service" personnel and Demand that they actually find your deposit. They will then take 10 days to find your deposit and then 10 days to credit your account. How is it a check written to wal-mart clears a persons account in one to two days, but Bank of America holds on to your money for 10 days. If you ask them about it, they say they have 10 days by law before they must make the funds available.

If you ask for help, they will recite that by law they do not have to do anything before 10 days, whether it is finding the deposit they lost or crediting your account for the funds after they find the deposit they lost.

A sign should be posted above all Bank of America ATMs: "Deposit at Your Own Risk."

Signed, Looking for a Bank that didn't get a bail out and treats its customers with apathy.
