Macys likes to stop sending staments to jack up late fee's when its already been paid in full macys.com

I opened up a Macys account years ago. I made minimum payments every month which is dumb but finally realized that I was paying double for what I pruchased. I decided to pay the bill in full. Once I paid the bill in full I NEVER recieved a statment again.

NEVER assume that its paid in full just because they stop sending statments. 2 years later, still no statments and Im car shopping. The credit comapany told me I have an outstanding account at Macys. I call up Macys and they said I still have a balance. I told them I paid it in full 2 years ago and they stoped sending statments. Ironically, they couldnt go back into their system that far because they changed their software around that time. I asked, "dosent that raise a flag that the month I paid it in full you stopped sending statments". They told me my address which was correct and blamed it on my mailman. I said yeah right, my mailman sends me all my bill but Maceys. I asked if their new software caused this issue. They would not budge. I talked to managment and all they wanted was their money.

Sure enough what comes in the mail the next month. A $600 change of late fee's over 2 plus years. They wouldnt even reduce it and couldnt even see my payment history to see what happend. Makes you wonder why you dont need a degree to work at Macy's.

Just a tip: Never assume a bill is paid in full just because they stop sending statments. Always call them to make sure you have no balance. Have them send you a conformation of the payment. Do what you can to make sure of it. I will never shop there again and acually thought about pooping on their clothes.
