Unethical bill collectors ripoff

My husband opened an account with cash cal 17 months ago he borrowed 2000.00 he has paid 17 payments of 215.00 totaling 4300.00. We are trying to pay them off because we can't afford to pay 215.00 a and the loan a, ount never goes down. We came to them and offered to pay $1500.00 and close the account. They refuse they want us to pay $1700.00 to include an additional $200.00 payment of interest, they harrass my husband day and night. We work hard he works grave yard and he sleeps during the day they call him atleast 20xs a day. They go by MR. Like they have some kind of special or important position at this company. I called on my husbands behalf and because they didn't like what I had to say they 1st asked for a Verbal auhtorization and he gave it then when we got to making an offer they didn't like it so at that point they asked for a faxed letter saying I had his permission. We did that, and they are rude they want to scare you into paying they say things like "your going to get your husband into trouble" "I'm a supervisor I'm handeling your case there's no one above me that can make a settlement" they hung up on me 2xs but I'm not a quitter and I wont let them get away with this. We want to pay but not what they want just because they want us too. We want something fair and affordable. They have honestly been the worst kind of people to deal with I'm sure the mob has better people working for them.
