Ripoff fees to cash a check drawn on their bank for non-customers

I receive a disability insurance check every month. This month rather than have my credit union hold it for 3 days I decided to cash it then deposit the cash. Bank of America charged me $5, which while not alot of money, is alot when your on disability. The check was drawn by a reputable national insurance company on their account with BANK OF AMERICA.

Just another fine example of ripping off the little guy.
