The greed in Bank of America

Bank of America has adopted the policy of charging non-account holders $5.00 to cash Commercial checks drawn on its own bank. It is understandable to charge a fee for cashing checks drawn on other banks, but to charge in this this manner seems extremely unfair, greedy and an insult to the employer that trusts Bank of America with their money.

I asked a branch manager what she would do if wanted to cash a $10 check from my employer drawn on Bank of America? She replied, The bank would charge $5.00 regardless of the face amount. I then asked her what the bank would do if the check were for $5.00? She replied, We just wouldn't cash it.in this scenario, the bank would not even cash a check drawn on itself. Does this make sense?

In addition, some branches of Bank of America in Nashville have a separate line for non-account holders to stand in and wait until tellers are finished servicing account holders. Then they still charge $5.00 to cash your check no matter how long you've waited.
How can banks with America as part of its name act with such disrespect toward the public? Do they really believe policies such as this will attract new customers?
I don't think so!
