Tried to con me into sending money to keep our business name

I have received 2 official letters from them stating that I need to pay my $125 to keep our business name. I even wrote out the check, then questioned the odd name of the company. It's even in Tallahassee. I then realized I had also received one from Sunbiz, which was the legitimate fictitious name renewal and through the Secretary of State for only $50. How are they allowed to legally send this document like they are part of the government (although in very small print on a VERY busy page, they state they are not affiliated with the state. WHY HAVEN'T THEY BEEN SHUT DOWN?
