Federal registration commission
FRCDC.org Federal Fictitious name registration SCAM

Miscellaneous

4 Weeks ago I registered a Fictitious Name for my small business with Sunbiz.org. This is the Florida Department of State - Division of Corporations. Today I received a letter from the "Federal Registration Commission" stating that I Registered with Sunbiz.org but failed to register with them, giving the impression that I reg. With my state, but not the Federal Government. The letter informed me that there is a $50.00 Reg. Fee due by the 15th, and failure to Reg.By this date will result in a $25.00 late fee. Enclosed in the mailing was an Application requesting my name, mailing address (Personal and business) along with a Credit card information/authorization area for me to input my CC# and Verification information.

Because I did my homework an understand that I only need to Reg. With the State my Business resides in. I had a feeling this wasn't right, and I also noticed the web address as.org as apposed to. GOV a federal agency would carry. I contacted the Florida Department of State - Division of Corporations - Dept. Of Fictitious Registrations and was informed, that this is a "fraudulent Letter" and was instructed to fax over all communication sent to me for the Attorney General to have for the ongoing investigation and future prosecution.
