Loan maturity date and payoff balance do not add up

Called Santander to pay off my car. The maturity date said Dec. 2012 they said not so that it actually matures in Apr. 2013. Called them again Feb. 25 2013 and they say I owe $2700.00. That amount takes my loan to Aug. 2013. Now I am no Ivy Leaguer but I'm no fool either. The math doesn't add up and I'm pissed off. I say all of us with complaints go to their offices in every city in every state at a synchronized time. The media will handle the rest. Looks like a class action to me.
