Ripoff, fradulant, misleading, dishonest, LIARS! And thieves!

I was contacted on October 7 and was told that this company could assist me in getting my credit back in order by taking advantage of their credit card offer. I was reluctant at first, and didn't have the $300 requested as a deposit right then. No problem, I was told. They could do a post-dated debit. I agreed.in their disclaimer it said you have 72 hours to cancel. I was also told that they would be mailing me a written version of our conversation and the terms and conditions. So I post-dated a check for Nov. 15.

On October 18, I still hadn't received any paperwork, or ANTYHING for that matter from this company and began to get wary. So, I called and spoke to a Mr. Romance (yes, his actual name) at the company to cancel. I was asked for my ID# and my name. I gave both. I was then told everything was taken care of and I was cancelled. I hung up thinking I covered my bases because I had the employees name and the date and time I called.

Well, on November 15, this company went right ahead and debited my account for $300... AFTER I had cancelled. When I called them about a refund, I was told there was no refund and that I had NEVER EVEN CALLED IN TO CANCEL!

I have since files a dispute with my bank, and a complaint with the FTC, the BBB, Seven on Your Side (local news), and here. I plan on taking this to every outlet I can possibly.
